Not just for posting this despite your hesitation, but also for being the father that I know you are.

Having a dad write and sing that song for me as a kid would literally have been a dream come true.

My friend (the amazing David Piltch) was in recently and we felt inspired to accompany you......hope you don't mind!!!

Sorry for the sound quality; it's an MP3 of an MP3.

Cheers!
Wow! Inspired!

Skillz, I'm afraid I have to agree with Kit.

There aren't very many rules on this thread, but smilies are mandatory!!!

okay...
this thread is the best instance of bizarre i've ever seen!!!

heading on a world trip tomorrow and wont be back in oz til early jan,

but hell, i got shit lying round the studio (rca to 1/4 snakes, shit loads of cabling that just need some solder love, etc.) that i would have jumped on if i was trying to put a home studio together.

if you want some help doing that with a bit of these items, pm me or get me through my website in early '09 and i'll help you out with a bit of those annoying connectivity issues.
you just need to stop by the studio in melbourne and i'll try to sort you out.

peace.

and seriously, this thread is the best ever.thumbsupthumbsupthumbsupthumbsup

First off this thread needs to be bumped to the top. It was nearly in the middle of the page. so here are some bumpers.

I liked the myspace page for BOWIE.

Narco taught me how to embed videos back in September.

Here are his instructions...

you go to the page of the video you want on youtube and to the right of the video under the titles there is a box that says "embed". You highlight all the code in that box and press copy (ctrl c, or apple c).

Then you come back to gearslutz and start making your post. In the buttons above where you write your post there is a "youtube" button, you press that and then press paste (ctrl v, or apple v).

Paste the code you copied from youtube in between the youtube tags.

Cool logo! Thanks! The stuff below, is that your page? $8 and hour for tracking? OUCH! You're almost as desperate as I am!
JoaT is helping me with a sales website and I would love to make the sales site and the myspace interractive! Customers could leave comments on the myspace about what they though of the different tubes, etc. Maybe I can even get some kind of forum going for musicians and engineers to talk about their opinions since the only tube forums out there are for hi-fi geeks are they are a real bore.
Thanks again, I can't wait to see more!

Okay something else I just found, not much, but. I've got an unused copy of Cubase LE4, came free with my firestudio, but I prefer Reaper, so I never installed it. Maybe good for someone interested in getting into Cubase you could use it like a demo. In the U.S. PM me I'll decide someone within a couple days.
