Wow! Out for three days and I miss so much! Amazing giving and sharing going on. Congrats everybody. My 2 year old son was diagnosed with pneumonia a few days ago. He is much better now and I can finally sit down in front of a computer. Missed you all.

Good morning everyone!

Out of curiosity, has anybody read Mixing With Your Mind? I keep hearing about it, but don't really know anyone that's read it. Is it worth the price tag on the author's site?

Officially done with music for now :(

Old Goat, sorry mate I haven't even had time to bounce those banjo tracks to disk yet, but I'm on it, got some time off from the day job this week

All the best

Nothing more worrisome or world-stopping than for our children to be ill...

SO happy to know that your Little One is on the mend!

Hello Giveslutz,
I haven't had time to post my impressions with the LR Baggs DI that I received from Strange Angel. Thanks, again, man. I am getting a sound that I can use for live performance, but am still having distortion when I try to record the sound of my plug-in classical. Still, the improvement when plugging into a PA is dramatic. Thanks again.

Strange Angel was so classy, he even: (a) included a 9v battery and (b) enclosed two Reese's peanut butter cups in the box. Way to sweeten an already sweet gift.

I am even recycling the wrapping material to ship aitikin his Netgear router. Yes, aitikin, expect your router sometime this week.

That's it. Just wanted to say hi and thanks to the people giving and re-gifting (Budget and Jordan, with the Samick. What class! Then Bater gifted an amp!) Amazing. I better step it up for my next giveaway. Watch this space in the next couple of days!

Cheers,
++aldo

(p.s. tab, good luck with the kid's health, and to everyone else convalescing, I wish you all a happy and speedy full recovery)

Hey all!

Mike, I got your amp on th UPS truck this afternoon. Should get it in a few days.

That is so sad to hear of a child with such a terrible affliction. I wish I could do more than just pray for him, but really that is about as good as anything.

Hoping you all have a good rest of the night.

Mornin' slutz! Getting up and leaving for work before sun-up all week and I don't head for home until after sunset. The overtime will be nice though once the check shows up, but I sure do miss the daylight. Trying to maintain my sanity by making others happy. Picking up a puppy for my wife tomorrow...she has no idea. My son is over three months old now and my family ALWAYS had dogs while I was growing up. That's something I don't want my kid to miss, so I figure it's time.

Congrats, Aldo!

Joy begets Joy.

A note on credit where credit is due...

It was our very own RawBeanZen who suggested that extra touch of including the Reese's peanut butter cups in your package, Aldo.

Yep. Such seemingly small gestures of kindness make the world a sweeter place. Don't you agree?

Happy GroundHog Day, dearslutz!

Hi guys. I've been browsing Gearslutz for a couple of years now, but it was actually this thread that convinced me to finally register. What a cool idea.

Not sure if anyone out there would be interested in this, but I have two black stage crew T-shirts from a production of High School Musical (The Musical) that I ran sound for over the summer. One is Small, one is Medium. I'm 22, so I can't really get away with wearing a shirt that has the HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL!!!!!! logo emblazoned across the chest, but if you've got kids (or a guilty pleasure) that you'd like to indulge, they go to the first responder on the thread. Shirts are in great condition - I don't think I ever actually wore them.

Aaaaaand, go!

Right ON, my brother!

My apology for a double posting...but GroundHog Day comes but once a year!!!

Following is the official Groundhog Day Site prediction after consulting the Grand Master of Winter Wisdom:

Punxsutawney Phil has predicted 6 more weeks of winter

So sorry to inform, especially those slutz living in the Lands of the Frozen Tundra.

But it's a glass half-empty, glass half-full kinda thing...

At least we know there are ONLY 6 more weeks of winter!!!

I dig this thread. My awesome wife just got a bonus and a raise and i'm in the mood to pass on the good karma. I have a Zoom Rhythmtrax 234 drum machine that I'd be happy to pass on to someone who can use it. I used it for years to build beats when I was coming up with new bass lines. Now I have a drum set and a little studio that's coming along (thanks to awesome wife). So if anyone needs a cool little drum machine, let me know
