| big giver! Big country road tax today , I did some road work... I was driving down the road saw me a couple rocks so I picked them up. I then felt bad becuase there was still a hole were the ashpalt once was ... so I went down to home depot bought me some catatonic asphalt filled the whole and billed the city... now I was thinking about retiring so I figure If I charge 10 cents for every person that drivesoverit I would be doing pretty good... Big country road tax..

First things first: ONE HUNDRED BILLION THANKS TO SCHMECKITUP. Not only has my day been made, but it's gonna be hard to find another day this gratifying for quite some time. THANKS ALSO TO RawBeanZen for kickstarting this thread and getting people in the giving spirit. The boxes I received earlier via Fed-Ex-Surprise-Saturday-Delivery, contained a Mackie d8b console and the CPU. As expected, there was no data cable, but as I was prepared, I had one ready to go. I scooted some stuff around and started plugging stuff up... And after figuring out that I needed to switch the digital I/O to TDIF instead of ADAT, I was passing signal thru the mixer and out to my monitors. Now I'm playing with HUI mode and giggling at the fader automation zooming up and down. As you can see by the pic I'm about to attach, I need to seriously rearrange things, but I'm an impatient bastard and I had to set it up to be sure it survived its cross-country journey. Now, for those who are still reading: I have an Art Studio MP. It's in great condition and comes with the power supply. I also have a Yamaha MG10/2 mixer. Both of these things are small, but they get the job done. If these things could be of use to you, send me a PM describing how either of these things can benefit your studio. In the spirit of the d8b posting, please include a Haiku which describes the difference between tubes and solid state. ryan |

![]() But then I might splatter across the floorboards again if she turns up .....at least only rare angelic types have that power, otherwise it would be a messy life.....Come to my dream, angel woman, and let me dream for a second that my name is Paul while I disintegrate all over the parquet.....hoping not to have to wake.......

| A HAPPY HOME HAS BEEN FOUND WITH JOAT After learning of this thread yesterday I looked around and everything that I wanted to bring to the potlatch was too heavy and shipping would be an issue because I am in Alaska. But I found something on the shelf that is light that I will put in the pile. I have an AKAI MPD16 that I don't use because I am midi challenged. It has less than one hour of use. If anyone is interested it I will see if I can find the manual and the power adapted. I will send it to whoever PMs me first. I request that you only PM me if you think you will use the device and not let it gather dust as it has been. MPD16

Midnightsun made my day! ![]() Thank you ever so much! I will put it to good use. I will also announce today who gets my Roland mcr8. This thread is, as I have said before, awesome. My only gripe is the smilies. Why in the love of God do I need to have a green face every time I just want to smile? Anyway, to fill up my quota, here's five more: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
