Hey T,

Thanks!
Gonna keep my eye on that mail box!

I'm over here with a bad case of the flu.
Doesnt help that I have to travel three and half hours by bus to get to a doc but I am content nevertheless.

I wish everyone here a great weekend!

There's a real wierd flu going around here. It never get's real bad - but it hangs around for 6-8 weeks. I finally got rid of it last week. It starts with a pain in the lungs that makes it a little hard to breath and lasts a couple weeks. Then that goes away and you're dizzy and tired for a couple weeks. Then it either goes for your throat (pain and swollen lymph-nodes) or for your joints. Strangely enough it want into my right knee AND my wifes right knee, making it feel like a nasty sprain ot ligament tear that lasted a couple weeks. The whole time out temp was running a couple degrees cooler than normal (97.1).
If there's a bright side I guess it would be that i've quit smoking because of it.

That would be the swine flu my friend. My drummer had those exact symptoms a couple weeks ago and went to the hospital. Said it was the sickest he's ever gotten. He also quit smoking because of it.

I also got it, but it wasn't half as bad for me. I was crazy sore all over though. Felt like I got ran over by a truck every morning when I woke up. Every time I laid down to go to sleep it got really hard to breath. That lasted a good week and a half.

So the broken Soundcraft strips are going to strewnshank. Gotta run to work and pick them up, but they'll be shipped in an hour or so. Giving a little bonus too since he's getting them for interns.

Mark Kaufman, the DR Sample has been gifted to my good friend Russ. He was delighted, and has promised to provide me with fine loops and noodlings. Thanks again.

Happy Friday!

No beer for me, just coffee. I have a session tonight, setting up for a cool experimental band, just drums, acoustic guitar and violin. Slow tempos, like 50bpm.

Have a great evening!

That sounds like my kind of music. Let us know how it goes and possibly a link to where we can acquire some of the music.

Hope this helps. Beer is truly proof that the divine creator loves us.

I thought I'd share my little pay it foward story.

Some of you guys here know my situation and have helped me out and I am very thankful.

So I have this friend who I've known for a longtime now.
He always helped me out when bad luck sets in.
Hes always wanted to do live MIDI stuff but never had the time nor the money. He has four kids and a demanding wife...

I was digging through some boxes looking for stuff to sell and I found this old M-Audio UNo midi to USB converter still in the orginal box with driver disc. I thought "hmm, I could get about 12 bucks from this" and then I thought about how my friend used to borrow it all the time. So I saw him the other day and gave it to him.

He was happy to recieve it.

So there it is my first moment of giving back. I know, cheesy.

Intersting thing is shortly after I was contacted by someone on here offering to give me a ribbon mic for free.

When you realize you can still be a giving spirit, even in the poorest times, it's like a key turning a lock, and doors open.
