Hi, I wouldn't post the peoples name, just their screen name. My apologies if the name you posted was the screen name though.

Yep, it's my screenname! I just wanted to thank PlugHead for the cables and pan60 for the tubes! AND RawBeanZen for starting this thing! I'll throw up a couple old mics after I go get them from my parents' house in a couple weeks. It's all I can offer at the moment as I am running low on money right now.

P.S. thumbsup

Unclejoe was kind enough to tune a whole bunch of vocals for me. Now a previously unfinishable song of my band's is about a day away from final mix! I will definitely be posting the result when it's done. Definitely grateful right now.

Hi, All.
Thanks for the lovely haikus (or is it just haiku...like sheep?) for the D8B. I'm going to enlist RawBeanZen if he is willing for a little decision making advice, and I can't wait to give this thing to one of you.
And so on

i'd be more than happy to help - and i certainly wouldn't say no to being payed either

my email is nick@hoppermusic.com or just PM me.

nice one

oh and for Narco: i don't need the RAM myself (don't have a laptop) but i have a friend who just got a new Macbook (not pro), so she'd probably be thrilled to get it. only problem is i'm in the UK, so shipping costs are a bit dire. still, if it's not an issue, let me know. i'm sure artists/writers deserve a bit of love too now and then

Hi, I would like to add another item. Its a VSTi by Ultra Sound Bank called Fretted 2. Its the same engine as the Stectrasonics stuff and has some of the bass sounds that resemble Trilogy. Let me know if you need something like that, I will consider the person that composes using VSTi's.

Keep the love going people!

Bump.

I wonder if this thread will help our economy...

I have a BNR LE license I don't need. It's Digidesign's noise reduction plugin. You need to pay the ilok transfer fee, sorry..

First PM gets it.

Cheers

zSHARE - 03 Lay Down _finished_ mix_.mp3

Try that, hopefully it will work. I think that site lets you listen without downloading.

Im no Steve Slate, but...

Ok here is my first free offering to the gearslutz massive!

2 gog files I made from a recent session.

Orange county snare and a DW 20x19 custom kick. The Snare has a touch of EQ and compression, but nothing drastic. The kick is heavily EQed and compressed.

The positions on the snare gog works as follows;

Pos1- Close; 57top I5 bottom close miced
Pos2- Mid; Same as above with Rode NT5 overheads in ORTF
Pos3- Far; Both above plus wide stereo pair of room mics, nady ribbons
Pos4- Ambient; just the ambient mics

The deal is I wanna hear some tracks with these used posted here!

Enjoy;

Kick; DW Kick (Hidden Track studios).gog
Snare; http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?ymcmml3uven

That is very cool of you Ozzy. Thanks for the efforts!

Haven't seen many people use ORTF pair as the overheads. I sometimes set it up the same way!
