@CrissM...mic stand on its way to you shortly.
Still no takers on the guitar stands...if you need one, PM me and it'll wing its way to you. These are the single instrument/tri-stand variety. (Edit: 1 stand has gone...1 stand remaining).
Have a cracking day everyone!

I just learned that March 31st was World Backup Day. So, here's a giveaway for the negligent and the neglectful!
Are you currently without a proper backup system?
Do you have a bunch of precious data that you'd be heartbroken to lose?
Are you willing to change your ways and start backing up regularly?
If so, there's a brand new Glyph GT 050Q 1 TB external hard drive here that just might have your name on it.
1) Please tell us, here on the thread, if you were a musical instrument which one you'd be and why.
2) Please include a number between 1 and 500 in your post, and title it "Glyph". |

If i were an instrument, or could be an instrument, I would like to believe I'd be a piccolo flute. I'm not a big guy, have a somewhat high pitched soft voice, and when im really passionate about something my voice tends to modulate up and down the scale. Even if I don't get it..... I get it. |

Not in it for the drive, but if I were an instrument I believe I'd be a harp. Not a harmonica, a big honkin' angel (or Harpo) plucked harp. Why? You just don't grab one of those and play it. You have to want to, and want to bad enough to work at it.
I'm not easy to play.
In other news, my blitz recording session Wednesday yielded four keepers of six songs recorded. The culls are for sloppy guitar work. It's hard to make that left hand behave after a couple of tunes. I'm gonna really have to work it to be ready for market season!
This crazy warm weather has a plus side--picking asparagus already!
Other situations are status quo, so no breaks there, but didn't expect any.

If I were a musical instrument today I would be a cümbü? because it confuses so many people.
Also, I love playing it. 128 or more times

I'm not in it for the drive, either... but I have a hard time resisting a deep philosophical question.
I'd be a bass... 'cause the bass holds the groove in it's pocket.

Leave me out of the drive...
I could be a lot of different instruments, depending on what part of my personality you're looking at. The list goes as such:
Work ethic - KORG Synthesizer. Sometimes, I take the most complicated approach to things.
Friends - Guitar. I seem to attract a lot of people who, after hanging out with me for a while, some of them see me as decoration.
Romance - Recorder flute. Enough said...
Overall - Sitar. I look easy enough, but once you start to get to know me, you realize that there's a lot more to me than what you originally though.
Sorry about the BIG post, but I thought I'd throw mine in.

Top stuff RBZ...and yes...back up soon, backup often, as I can tell you right now, backups have saved my bacon both at home and in the workplace. When you're the man who restores the 1TB+ of precious user data back from tape, you go from zero to hero quickly (although they forget you promptly and the "you don't do anything around here" sets back in relatively soon).
Not in it for the drive...but I dare say I'd be a woodblock...beat on it and you probably aren't going to be happy with the initial tone that comes out! *grins*

Plastic brushes on a plastic covered school notebook
Tapping a half-full tic-tac box
Playing a sheet of paper suspended in the air with rice on it

James....it's not a brush on a snare drum or piccolo snare drum, is it?
Not sure what country but it's been around and gone through a metric shit-ton of changes since it was invented...

I think I'm going to have to go with a vintage ARP synth. Hard to find, impossible to replace, technological in nature, and still holding on to a classic control mechanism. Of course, the age isn't exactly fitting, but that's okay, the other details work.
