I have to say that there is no place on earth like this thread. I had a feeling the news was out when RBZ sent me a private message and a gift of his own. Many thanks, RBZ!
You are all amazing individuals! I don't post here very much but I check this thread often for the good vibes and cheer. Wishing everyone the best this year. Generosity feeds the heart. Much love.

I want to publicly thank him, the money was very welcome as work has been sparse for me lately. So... THANK YOU STRANGELAND!!!
Hi folks,
I come here for congratulations and sympathy. Congratulations because I've been initiated into the sacred company of parenthood. Sympathy because my initiation involved contracting my first illness from my child. My son got it (mildly fortunately) then my wife and I promptly came down with a much more severe case! I cringe at the thought of my little boy going through what my wife and I have been going through :( Anyway, I figured this was the best place for both sentiments. I wish you all better health than I'm currently experiencing.
Cheers!
I kind of feel your pain. I'm a pretty tough old goat and seldom caught my kids' maladies. The grandkids must have more virulent strains of the creepin' crud, cuz I get a little under the weather, and Rosie gets sick as hell.
Supposed to snow some tonight. Already told the boss I'll be waiting for daylight to leave for work.

Well congratulations first and foremost! It is awful to have a sick child, I have held my son and wished fervently that the illness would leave him and I could take it. They need to get all those bugs though because it makes them stronger. Usually whatever they get is much milder than when you get it. My son will get a sniffle and when I contract it from him it feels like Ebola. Zinc is your friend in times like these. I wish you all well.

@ Quadwing; sweety, turn your skype back on so we can continue our talk please. thanks dear.
@ Adlen; If you can message quadwing for me and push that message above. that'd be great. thanks in advance.
@ everyone else. WOW I've been busy busy little bee with muchos paint flying everywhere... I'll update with pics soon as I find my camera. It's buried somewhere on this desk... The dust bunnies have taken control due to my absorption in obsessive painting and I probably won't find the camera until I eradicate the bunnies from thine presents. We'll see what the day doth bring.
peace

Reason: Thanks for checking in Quad.
The microphones came today!!! I cannot wait to start working with them!
Cool man, enjoy, and don't forget to post up some music you make with them for us to hear!
Just back from summer holidays, remote and blissfully tech free, no shark sightings this year either
Left camera on car roof and unfortunately it didn't survive it's intimate encounter with the highway at 120kph, but take my word for it, little boys love the great outdoors, meeting friendly pythons, and their Nannas. Henry had a good time too!
Looks like I've missed some fun times here - happy belated birthday Unclenny!
This interweb thingamee can be fun, no? Let's have a little viral video, these guys are covering a tune by Australian artist Gotye, and wow, what a cover...

congrats on joining the daddy club!
i used to think i had a really good immune system cos i rarely fell ill, then i got a son and suddenly illness became fairly regular
your child is the perfect infector, because genes are similar to yours so they take that illness and turn it into something perfectly tuned to strike you down.
Just found that one, that is friendship, and share !!!
Enjoy !!!

Infectious as heck! That song's been on replay in my mind for a couple days now.
Speaking of Gotye, here's one of my favorite versions....
so i have a friend here who has just said she wants to play violin again after years of not having one, so does anyone have one that could be donated? i guarantee the results will be heard here.
I am still around. Struggling a bit with teeth issues. But doing well.
Please take care of yourselves and be well.
I wouldn't wish what I have been through in the last 4 years on my worst enemy. But it's made me tougher and more determend!
PEACE!

If you remember, I offered up a couple of preamps and a microphone a bit of time ago, and you guys have not heard from me since, really. I've been really busy with school, and getting back into the swing of things. I am the new music director of my a cappella group, and I have been scrambling.
That said, I think it's time to announce the winners of the giveaway!
I have decided to split the lot in two: One of you gets the microphone, and one of you gets the preamps.
So, without further ado...
The winner of the microphone is:
Tagger!!! Hurricane Irene can be overcome with a little kindness, don't you think?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The winner of the preamps is:
Humanomusician!!! Nothing beats the bond of family, and I have a feeling you are going to be a very active part of the Giveslutz community. Welcome!

My friends, send me a private message with shipping details if you accept, or Jedi it to someone else if you like! Congratulations!

Thank you all for coming here tonight. I would like to thank many people for being with me when times were tough (they weren't), when I was unknown (was is kinda inaccurate), and for you here with me this particular evening. {pulls a list naming anyone whom have had a musical conversation with him, combined with the entire guestlist, second names included}
{Orchestra immediately plays the speech end track}
I'd like to note that I have a little problem both with receiving gear and with giving it. The second is mainly an issue of time, for I have not yet collected anything givable, or anything, frankly, while the first is because of my geographical location: Israel. It will probably cost you as much as your next steak if you ship them to me.
Also, did you say: "school"? Maybe you could come over to our school when we'll have the next "Boom", a musical event we have every year, where we form bands and bring other schools' bands to play and perform.

That's not even an improper writing for MY name. It's Humanomusician, Humano, Musician, Mano, Human, or, if you're either really forgettish or really lazy (misspelling for LAME), Man. But you can "Call me Al".
Has anybody seen a rainbow recently? It's pouring and flashing and breaking noisily here, and I think we're on the edge of yet another flood. If you have, G-d must remember his promise not to repeat this history.
{news narrator voice} And this... is the end of our field report by...: Humanomusician, Humano, Musician, Mano, Human, or, if you're either really forgettish or really lazy (misspelling for LAME), Man. But you may call him Al.

Can I just say.... I like you... no idea why, but I do... Your ace!
Cheers

P.S. that last ships painting is now spoken for... Other two still sitting here... If anyones into finger paintings that is... I was just mucking about with paint... Don't expect them to go as I was just slopping paint and not being serious.

You know, over here we have a special name both for people who just talk sensible nonesene and for people who say reasonable things that are untrue, trying to fool others. I was called that name several times. And several more.
