I decided what the "incentive" will be for donating...

One lucky winner will get a new Blue Bluebird Microphone.

Please visit this link Breast Cancer Awareness - American Cancer Society by Dakota Jones - GoFundMe to make your donation.

BE SURE TO INCLUDE YOUR GS USERNAME TO BE ENTERED INTO THE DRAWING.

I will draw a random name out of a hat around mid-November, when i decide to end the campaign and make the final donation.

Thanks for your support!

Wow....that's really good!

You need to keep working this one....serious potential. Horn sounds fantastic.

Agreed. Very nice work!

M-m-m-m-m. Grilled shrimp with pasta in sauce Rosie made with our tomatoes, with a playful little white zin to wash it down. Ah, I'm feeling much better.

There's a vid here my son in law took at that benefit I played last spring at the Moose Lodge. The name of the song is "Change o' Life Blues".

Thought I broke my knuckle this morning at work, but after the feeling came back it's just bruised. Knocked the bark off three knuckles and broke open the gash on my forearm again, but got the part done. We're gonna do it differently next time... Tomorrow night might be entertaining, pain-wise. Naproxen, don't fail me now!

Will have a giveaway shortly--details at ten. Back to you, Chet.

Wrassle. I was wrasslin' the drive pulley off a coal shaker, polishing the place where a bearing goes. The paper grabbed, came out of my hand, and I got smacked at 250 RPM trying to get away. I won 2 falls out of three, though, so the SOB is laying on a pallet in the back now.

Thanks for all the kind words everyone! To be honest...I was going to give up on this one. I decided to flesh it out a little further. I need to retrack the guitar when it comes in with the groove so it doesnt sound so percussive (I didn't pay any attention to placement the first time around) and line up a few of the percussion tracks (no click track!) but I'm really liking it!

I like it a lot!

I recently made something (as a complete joke, no less) and it had horns in it. I heard your song and I remembered that you played horn, so I thought you might appreciate it!

Good morning everyone!

I need a little help. My girlfriend and I are moving to New Zealand in a month. I have some DIY acoustic treatment that I need to get rid of. I have 4 4' x 2' x 4" panels. 2 of them are keyed so you can set them up in a wedge for vocal recording. 2 8" bass traps. One is really big, one is smaller, and 2 super chunks, plus a bunch of couch cushions if you want. All panels are filled with rockwool and covered in fabric. I also have a bunch of extra fabric if you want to recover them.

I'm in Vancouver BC, canEHda, so if you want this stuff, or know someone who needs this stuff, send me a PM! Alright! Spoken for.

Thanks very much, and I hope everyone here is doing well.

Yep.....and goodnight for NBC news.

I have been working way too hard, myself. That shrimp thing sounds like something I need to cook up tonight as I have the house to myself.

Might have to cook up up few 12AX7's a bit later.

To all.....

Synthline --- great tune developing there man, love the atmosphere

OG -- Just watched a bunch of your vids, really cool! Take care of those gtr-pickin hands man! Hope the drugs'll see you throught the gig

Lenny --- sounds like things might be getting noisy round your way tonite then, eh?

---- We're (hopefully) moving next Friday, assuming our new landlords get the redecorating finished in time. It's kinda just hit me that I'm leaving London for real --- ok, it's only for a year, but I've been here for like 8 years, and it'll be a bit odd leaving. It's weird, I've moved around a lot over the past 10 years or so, (moved something like 20 times) but yeah, I guess most places didn't really feel like home before.....
Still, it will be cool to live in the country for a while -- never done that, but yeah,, just getting a bit of the fear-of-change jitters I guess

....And if, in about 4 months or something, my posts here start getting a wee bit Jack-Nicholson-in-The-Shining, someone just have a quiet word in me ear, before things kick off, yeah?

Ya know... I've got a hankerin' to give something away. And in this case, the "something" in question is a carbon element circuit-bent phone mic! This baby takes phantom power to run, and will do all sorts of beautifully horrible things to whatever you happen to be recording at the time. Be warned that this isn't, er, a quiet mic. You just have to embrace the self-noise as part of the package.

The mic will go to whomever can first identify which country I traveled to earlier this Summer. Clues were left...

Guys, I have a dilemma.

I think Jane by the Ben Folds Five is the most beautiful song that this beautiful band has released, and want to declare it as my total favorite and perform it everywhere for everyone. And arrange it for my a cappella group.

Unfortunately, I may or may not have recently had a very embarrassingly public unreciprocated 4-month condition of romantic love with a Jane, that while I have certainly gotten over (and I am great friends with said Jane), other people may not think I have gotten over if choose I declare my completely unrelated love for this masterpiece of a song.

WhadyIdo?

Funny story. The song is about being yourself and not caring what others think about you. The solution is so elusive...

Left my case open at the show last night and netted $26 in tips! Plus sold a couple of CDs! And got requests for Old Goat/ It's OK, I'm with the band tees!

Wiped out today. I think I'll just ride the mower this afternoon.

Oh, and our Angel really is. Just thought I'd remind us...

Since my Copperphone is in circulation I'm thinking that mic would make a nifty replacement.

You say clues were left...hmm....

- OK, back in July you told us that you went West, and wound up in the East.

- A day or two later you posted a beautiful shot of some lotuses for me and said that the picture was taken "on location in the Middle Kingdom".

Were you in China?
