The Christmas pickle is the second strangest Christmas tradition I've heard of. Mind you, it is very cool, but the concept of a pickle in a Christmas tree is kind of like thinking about having mayonnaise on cereal. Most people think it is a German tradition, but it turns out it is really an American tradition. I lived in Germany for about 8 years and I'd ask Germans about it and no one had ever heard of it. A neat story to read up on, just Google Christmas pickle. I would have picked up on the tradition but I am sure my kids would have knocked down the Christmas tree trying to beat each other in finding the pickle!

The first strangest tradition is the nativity Caganer. Basically, it is a shepherd or peasant who is located off to the side or in the back of a nativity scene who is busy defecating. Very weird, but the intention is to represent fertilizing the land for good crops the next year. Either that or a commercial for Charmin. Enjoy the pretty picture.

I've got stands! Thanks to LoftyBoysStudio ! And boom stands at that! Just in time for my birthday tomorrow (the 21st tomorrow, 12:00 am tonight, all day tomorrow... hint hint)

Well, seeing as no one has taken me up on the retouching of images for their website and such (man you guys/gals must be really purdy already without retouching) I guess I need to go and find something else to offer up to the list.

I've got a good idea of something but I need to go see if I can find them first.

So, on that note I do have a Seymore Duncan Jeff Beck Trembucker that is about Oh I'd say at least 10 years old bought back in the '90s that I just pulled out of my Trashcaster (58 Strat body with Kramer neck). It's in fine working order with plenty of wire lead and little noticable wear on the plastic. Guess that will do for starters!

So, what do you have do to get it? I have no clue. So, send me your best "all you have to do to receive this" phrase and I will pick the best from anyone interested and the pup will go to that person!

Sounds like good fun to me!

This is a nice card for anyone starting out, I was just holding on to it as a backup in case my other stuff went down. Happy Holidays everyone!

I have a winner, and just need to ship off my old EMU card! Corngratulations MMski!

Now to find a new pinch roller so I can put these guys to work! Thanks!!!

Oh and I got free Rum Cakes too! I haven't had one yet but I'm sure they're great.

I'd like to announce the recipients of the gear I offered up last week (several pages back).

Sehnsucht is getting the ART Tube MP Studio (US version!).
Synthdude is getting the Tascam 788 Portastudio (and a little something extra).

I'm sure they'll be along in due time to say what they'll be offering back to the community.

Many thanks to all those who responded. I wish I had more stuff to give away. Holiday cheer to all!

Hi everyone, after a long while trying to decided who won the limerick contest I narrowed it down to two. Both LFO and fatbassplayer had great limericks that made me laugh my ass off. So I ended up doing a coin flip. fatbassplayer won the coin flip and the sm7b. However being so close, I something told me that LFO gets a prize also. With that said, I'm going to send LFO a custom made condenser microphone that I made.

I'm bumping this thread, hoping to get a new page started so I don't have to see the poop images when I scroll down.

Edit: Well that didn't work...

I'm ready to see no more poop too, as a matter of fact...

Therefore, BUMP!
