be VERY careful. I had that happen several years ago and the first burglary was only them scouting what was good to grab. They came back 10 days later and hoisted the rest of my stuff! I came home while they were still in the house the second time... Just be aware...

And I am VERY sorry to hear this. Why someone would take what someone else worked so hard for. I will NEVER understand!

So sorry to hear about the burglary, Tab. I'm glad to hear you guys are ok, but I know the feeling of having ones safe zone invaded - it gets to your sense of security and can stay under the skin for a long time. Hope you manage to shake it off.

Yep... let me second Kat. It's time to upgrade the locks or security system.

Mongo bummer. Getting robbed is always a violation that goes beyond the value of stuff, since they are also robbing you of your sense of security.

Tabhasg, definitely watch out many people in my neighborhood have been burglarized it is a very scary feeling we can hope that all they want is our stuff but God forbid anything worse can happen... kat and budgetmc are completely correct they usually come around a second or third time!

Just talk to the insurance company they are usually okay about burglary and if you have not already maybe invest in a security system. Best of luck and stay strong.

Really sorry to hear about the break-in Tab --- just reading about it makes me feel rather uncomfortable ---- it's a horrible thing to have some stranger invade your little nest. I would def take note of what Kat said --- get a good alarm or something fitted.

I'm glad at least no-one was hurt or anything -- that's the main thing, after all.

Tab: Very high suck factor, but as you say, it could have been worse.

So, apparently when they were yanking the iPad chargers, they also made off with a USB hub that had my iLok. I can replace the iLok but what about the plugin I have registered to it? The only thing on there was the license for recording mp3s, what do I (an iLok noob) need to do? Can I just hit a store and get a new iLok and then the license will work?
My three year old is going to deal some justice if the bad guys come back!

Oh man that sucks.
You could try reporting to Pace that your ilok was stolen and have it disassocited with your account. You may then be able to transfer that license to a new ilok. That ilok was storing your license so you have to get the license transferred from the old to the new. Hopefully CS at Pace will have a heart.
