Another one

This thread is amazing!

I am going to pick up an Akai Z4 from Charles Maynes today and am still in shock.

I shall return the generosity to the great gearslutz community by offering up a practically brand new Presonus Faderport.

Would prefer it be someone in the LA area who hasn't got anything from this thread yet. However if I don't hear from anyone in the area that can pick it up soon I will be glad to ship it.

Keep it going guys this is just too awesome.

Me too. If someone gives me a U47FET then I will give away my U87!
I think the 'spirit' of this thread is to give. If something nice comes along, then that's an added bonus!

Yes.

When olivia_nb gave to his friend who was in need, he wasn't looking for anything in return. It was a loving act, pure and simple.

And because love is its own reward, I know for a fact that Jeremy made his own day by doing it.

That's the thing, people:

If your attitude is "what can I get from this?" then yes, you might win something.

If, on the other hand, your attitude is "what can I give here?" then you have already won the big prize.

When I started this thread and gave that preamp away, the only thing I asked "in return" was to see the giving continue, which it has. And the feeling that gives me is way cooler than winning any stuff!!!

Maybe "rules" isn't quite the word we're looking for here.

Let's call them guidelines.

Ok! Part 1 of the Arctic Circle giveaway:
I have a couple of LDC mics to give away. Up for grabs is a Studio Projects C3 multi pattern condenser and a MXL V12 "Silicon Valley" cardioid condenser.

Since I live two hours by plane from the nearest music store I buy lots of stuff in order to hear it for myself. My curiosity is your gain.

Here are the rules:

You have to be a student in a Scandinavian country (scan of student ID as proof), living on your own (see edit below), eating Raman™ or Yum Yum™ noodles in order to power your legs and can tell me how, in 25 words or less, entropy can be reversed.

PM me with your answers and pleas.
I am bumping myself.

Ok...after sifting through the piles, I found a few things that are up for grabs.

• Yamaha REV-7 reverb. 100% functioning, but definitely looks well used.

• MIDIMAN MIDI-USB interface. 2 MIDI inputs. 1 USB output right into your computer.

PM me!

Wow...that was quick! 8 PM's

The REV 7 is gone, but I still have a MIDIMAN MIDI interface. It will fit in your pocket and it's powered by the USB port...no power cords or wall warts!

Probably junk but I kept it anyway...

I have 3 or 4 black vinyl microphone bags with all the "extras" that come with a lavalier microphone. That would be: The instructions, the tie-clip, the alligator clip and whatever other kind of clip comes with it.

Two (2) Hosa XLR to TRS cables. These are the type that your run out of the balanced TRS Control Room outputs and plug into a set of powered monitors. These may or may not be flaky. They worked the last time I used them, but in my last installation I needed longer ones so I just made myself a couple.

futon. haha

i know it's not gear, and i know it's not exciting, but anyone that lives in Nashville is welcome to a black futon. it's black metal frame, with a black cushion. the cushion has extra padding. it's much more comfortable than most futons i've sat on.

any takers?

PM me

Hi again. After giving away a set of Ultrasone headphones last week on the other thread to the first person that pm'ed me, I'm going to do the next one a bit differently.

I have decided to stray from gifting an audio related item and gift someone a Visa gift card in the amount of $50 to spend on anything they would like. The stipulations are as follows:

1) You must use it for something other than consuming alcohol, smokes, fast food, or lap dances. (yeah the last one is harsh)

2) You must do someone here a favor, whether it's donating time to help them be creative or just making them laugh and brightening their day with wisdom and advice.

olivia_nb and RawBeanZen, you two have set a great example and I want to thank you both. I would like to donate $25 each to St. Jude's Childrens hospital in your names. Please pm me.

Edit: I would really like this to go to someone that hasn't recieved anything yet. But I will consider all posts and let everyone know who it goes it in a few days.

BTW - unless somebody else claimed it, I think he should still get the DS-2. Nobody should have to plug their guitar in a B-Ringer if it's desinged to alter the sound. (sure, Alex Lifeson gets away with using their signal splitters, but they're not supposed to mangle, I mean "improve" the signal.)
thanks alot man .. that will help me out so much ... also thanks to the people sending or who sent me stuff....

It is so appreciated ....
I have recieve alot from here .. but not stuff that is unnecessary ... so i hope you guys dont feel like I am Abusing this

I just received the Tuner Dontletmedown ... Thank you SO MUCH... believe it or not i have never owned a tuner in the 6 years of playing and recording .... so i was very happy about that

Let me just say .... i love you for making this thread ... and i feel that this is truly great and will become the largest thread on Gearslutz ....... and Hopefully it will keep going as a place for starving musicians and artists to come recieve one mans trash and make it there treasure ....

And I am getting another book from Gearaddict ... a song writting book .. thank you very much as I need all the Help i can get

Last but not least i am recieving a 8 channel snake from Hourglass.... THANKYOU ... I need one for the Fostex 450 i just got for like $60 on ebay .. and i need it to interface to my firepod... and just let me say ... i love that console .... it has some idosyncracies.. but sounds soooooo good for $60..... even for $500 this thing sounds good ... but if i payed that i would expect one in better condition .....

Any way thank you guys so much for you help .... I have tried to give all i have to spare .. but that isnt much ... but if i can do any myspace Html for you ... let me know ... I am not the greatest .. but i like what turns out ...

i have 2 examples of it

Would anyone have use for a guitar cable like these:

Mainline Cotton Tweed Guitar Cable 10 Foot Instrument - eBay (item 320287670055 end time Oct-15-08 15:53:50 PDT)

Not the best quality, but I have an extra or two...

I have an ECHO Darla PCI 24/96 interface to give away. This thing is rock solid, converters are excellent, and it has 8 outs. Perfect for some OTB mixing. Drivers for XP available on Echo's website.

It must go to someone who hasn't received any free stuff from this thread, who will make good use of it, lives in the continental US (for shipping reasons), and will continue this wonderful thread by giving something away.

PM and say something interesting about yourself and it's yours.

May the RawBean be with you,

Drew

PM me the address. Sorry - no 'Next Day Shipping' on this one...
You should see it in 7-10 days.

Oh, and skillz31 - As runner-up - i've also got an old patchbay that used to be used for video deck patching.
It has 1/4" mono jacks in the front, rca's in the back. If you think you can make it work for you it's yours.
