Logic 8 BFD2 Drumagog Latency Issue

hi there

I'm now the proud owner of both drumagog and bfd2. they're both updated to the newest version as well as my logic 8.

there a latency problem when I try to replace a drum-track using drumagog with bfd2. I'm using everything as described in the manuals.

nothing's working properly. I tried using the fixed latency version of drumagog and the "normal" version. all the options concerning the automatic delay compensation of logic were useless. the funniest thing of it all is, that the signals of BFD2 are coming BEFORE the actual signal of the track being replaced.

for example: I want to replace a kick-drum. insert drumagog in the drum-track, open BFD2. now the signal coming from BFD2 is 50ms ahead of the original signal. turning the automatic delay compensation off, the signal's still 30ms early. removing every other plugin from the channels, the signal's like 5ms early.

messing with the buffer-settings the whole thing turns into a delay of up to 180ms.

any tips?

greetings,
kevin

I just wrote this E-Mail to both fxpansion and drumagog:

"I have run several tests on my system.

I want to replace two drum tracks, one snare, kick. I follow the instructions for using drumagog with bfd (insert drumagog first, then bfd, choose and load a kit, tell drumagog which drum to use). now I have made two annoying observations:

when I record the output of BFD 2 and compare it to the original track, (snare with snare, i.e.) the newly recorded track is 30ms ahead of the original track.

persuming it had something to do with the automatic delay compensation of logic 8 I changed the options, switched the ADC off and hit record again. like I assumed, the track was now delayed compared to the original track. I turned the ADC on again afterwards.

so I delayed the snare-region 30ms, hit record. now all was lined up well. I delayed the kick drum track 30ms and de-bypassed the drumagog on the track and everything went wild and got delayed again. I lost patience, got frustrated and wrote this email. I will also send it to fxpansions support.

is there any solution?

greetings,
kevin smith"

Hi Kevin,

I've got the same problem with PT 8 HD, have you solved it?
Thanks!
