need a clean vocal chain

hi i have mbox2...maudio sputnik....what is a good mic pre for that mic..would i need ad/da converter...also have macpro...would primarily recording dancehall reggae vocals..any suggestions on what gear would be good..budget about 1500..and building...very serious..thanks

The Safe Sound Audio P1 delivers clean, decent pre-amplification...but the expander / compressor / limiter are 100% suited to delivering smooth clean control of voice. It has a no latency headphone amp / stereo mixer on board also.
