Thread Starter | Motu 8pre Vs. Motu Traveller?
Ok heres the situation: I have $1000 (New Zealand) which I have to spend on an audio interface. I have decided on motu as I have used them before and trust them and their quality. I could either get a brand new 8pre for the whole $1000 or a second hand motu traveller for $900. But the thing is I need 8 mic pres. Does anyone know any good rack mounted 4ch mic pres for a reasonable price to go with the traveller if I decide to go that way? Is it worth going with the lower quality pres on the 8pre and having more of them? (im primarily recording whole bands so I do need 8 pres) Any input would be appreciated as this is my first interface purchase and I dont want to screw it up! |

If you're planning on rack mounting, watch out on the Traveler. I think there are connections coming out the side which make racking a bitch...
