This is where I met the ORIGINAL Gearslut, one Mr. M Waegner. Folks, let me tell you, this guy came equipped! 3M digital tape machine (maybe even a spare), His own Tannoy old-school dual 15" monitors which he positioned as his "midfields", and I believe I counted 5 racks of his personal gear, including something akin to today's Ionic Breeze! Mind you, this was Enterprise studio C, a pretty decently-eqiupped place to begin with! (this later became "Dave Pensado's room"). Enterprise also had Audio Affects Rentals across the alley... I couldn't figure out what this guy needed all that gear for!!! LOL Now, of course I understand... I think Michael was working on Skid Row, and Winger was in Studio A. It was a great place to work. They always had the latest gear (usually several units), the maintenance was superb, and the staff was always attentive. Thom Brown, Craig, Dan, Mark at Audio Affects, and all associated crew, many thanks for the years that you were good to me, in spite of the first client I brought there (Suave)! |
