Thread Starter | Help tracking down distortion in PTHD/Apogee rig
Hey guys, I'm troubleshooting some distortion problems in a PTHD rig. It uses an AD-16x and DA-16x as the interfaces. I'm getting some distortion, particularly when playing bass through a DI. I can take the same bass through the same channel into a Mackie mixer and its fine...I've taken the line from the patchbay output that normally leads to the AD-16x and it is fine. Nothing anywhere shows any kind of clip or over. I've tracked it down to something going on with the Apogee AD or PTHD. Anyone have any advice in how I can troubleshoot it from there? Thanks! Mike |

did you ever find the source of the distortion problem? I'm having the same thing with bass on a protools LE 9 system with an apogee ensemble.
