SE electronics z-3300 mk1????

I've been offered a SE electronics z-3300 mic for £150. I've got it here with me now and im testing it, sounds fine and well but it doesn't have a shockmount...and I cant find anything about it online.

Only info I've found is on the new z3300A. The one I have here is Black.

Only weird thing with it, is that it makes a POP when you switch the polar patterns and or turn the pad on. Is this normal behaviour?

Anyone have experience with this mic?

Could very well be the same mic as the 3300A. I believe the A designation just indicates a new manufactory, not a new design.

I have a Z3300A and love it. Clean, lots of output, good on most everything. I didn't notice popping when switching patterns, but may just never had the gain up when switching.

If you can find an sE shockmount, they are hefty enough. Better than lots you see on more expensive mics.

I've the same model as you have Travis. Just curious: do you get black patches as well when touching the z3300a's body?
Cheers,
