Calling all Torontonians for Gearslutz/ R-E-P pub night!!

Okay, so I've noticed a number of people on this forum live here in (descriptive word of your choice) Toronto. I've only been here for a little over a year, and I've managed to make a few connections but I love to meet new people, especially those of the pro audio persuation. I'm going to propose an R-E-P/Gearslutz pub night....

Who is in??

Hey there, long time lurker and fellow Torontonian here. First off, thanks everyone for this unique and unselfish community, I'm blown away daily that such a place as this exists. As I don't yet have much too offer in the way of useful engineering info, the only way I can say thanks at the moment is to buy a round or two at a Gearslutz pub night, so please count me in if it happens!

I'm not a Torontonian (yet - till this fall!), but will be doing some work there in mid-May/June: time-allowing, I'd like to get together with you audio junkies to talk shop - let me know when you plan to getogether, and I'll see if I can join in the round-table...

Okay, soooo do we want week day or weekend? I'm thinking a Thursday night might be good. This leaves us with May 5, 12, 19...
If Thursday is no good, please suggest an alternate time.

As for location, I'm thinking Queen West (of course). Perhaps the upstairs of the Rivoli?? Or maybe a table at on the Black Bull patio if it's nice outside.
For something cheezy and predictable there is also the Madison (Bloor and Madison), and for something cool, hip and out of the way there is the Communists Daughter (Dundas and Ossington). Shall we have a vote on locall?

Communist Daughter gets my vote: small, intimate place, and rarely busy. Gigged there a few months ago, and I like the vibe - only downside is if we get more than 10 or so, it could get crowded!

My choice is for May 18th or 19th - I prolly won't be available after those dates till closer to the end of the month (after recording sessions wrap up...)

In any case - don't hold out for me, tho I'd love to attend a gearslutz gathering!

My Thursday nights are toast, Wednesdays are fine. May 18th at Communists Daughter gets it done for me. Cheers, hope it works out!

Sounds like it would be fun! Unfortunaelty my week nights are booked. Wonder how many gearslutz are in the area? Would be a great idea as an annual get together.

See how many we get to respond and then set up a date based on the majority. I would love to attend.
