| Do you blame bands for your dreams? Jesus. I worked on 1 song for 3 days with this band. I wasn't really into their style, but business is business. Anyway, 3 14 hour days have completely screwed up my brain when I'm sleeping. The song is haunting me and it's not even very good. I'm thinking about just playing my ARP's sample and hold for the next 2 days so I can flush my brain of these guys. |

| It happens all the time. Of course! As a musician too. Last week I did a gig playing guitar with a jazzy-rocky big band and a composer leading the band playing all of his original music. It was actually pretty good stuff. Very adventurous and not typical of that genre. The music stuck in my head for several days. We writers often think that's a good thing. But those who know better know that just because a song sticks in your head is no indication it's a good song. I think normally simple, easily predictable and repetitive material can stick like glue.

| Man, my head is a proverbial MP3 player for all the bands I've ever recorded. Now and again a line or a song from the past will pop into my head and unfortunately no one else around me will have any idea what that song sounds like. It's like living on another planet. I've taken to listening to classic FM when I go to bed, drown out the rock and metal with soothing strings and tuba solos. Oh yes. |
