Thread Starter | Logic 8--BeatMapping/Quantize Puzzle
Hi all, So here is my situation. Our band has recorded the drums and bass tracks for our next album at a remote studio using 2 inch 16 track tape. Those tracks have been transfered and converted to logic files--no issues whatsoever. So here is what I want to do...I don't want to quantize the drums (which were not recorded to a click), but I DO want to fix the timing of the bass at certain points. So I read up on Beat Mapping, after some hard work, I figured it out...I beat mapped the drums--all kicks and snares, and it works great! Here is the problem--now I want to quantize the bass track to the drums...When I follow the user manual for quantizing audio files, the results are awful! Pops and clicks abound. Its not b/c of the computer we are using because its a powerful new MacPro. Based on my situation, what's the best solution to get the bass to lock up with the drums? Thanks for your thoughts! P |
