Wireless remote controler for DAW!!!

http://www.frontierdesign.com/products/tranzmain.html

I think this will RULE as a product if it works OK.

Anyone tried one yet?

I think folks were getting excited about it at the SF AES late last year...

I suppose it's due out now...

I actually was a beta tester. I thought it rocked.

$200 is what everyone is advertising them for. I have been really wanting to get one of these for myself so I can track myself playing drums and set up punch ins and outs. Or do work while i'm still in bed.

A dedicated controller certainly is a better thing, but pushing knobs remotely for tracking and to a certain degree for editing has been no problem since a while now, by using a wireless keyboard + mouse.

Works fine here when needing to steer from within the booth, from the drum rig or from the "artist´s table".

I am going to check out guitar center since they offer a 30 day return policy. I would like to use it for Sonar and Samplitude but they don't mention Samplitude on their web page.

This seems like a nice product. A good compliment to this might be Logitech DiNovo bluetooth wireless keyboard, numeric pad and rechargeable mouse. Works easily through windows and walls from the studio to control room. I've been very satisfied with this. Sleek looks too!

It does look kinda cool..

But if you have a spare laptop ..using remote desktop works great over the wireless network.. Its nice to see the exact pro tools screen from the control room.. Now I can be all my lonesome and record drums all night..

Agree.. This is a much needed unit for those of us who have to track alone at times on a keyboard workstation setup..
