Thread Starter | SONY PSP Sony Blows it!
Sony The new PSP all they had to do is put it in a DVD (like the Mini Video Recorders). And they would have had an ipod killer. But NOOOOOO! Sony puts in a "Sony" UDA drive. I would like to know what dummy at Sony is making desciions like that. Sony used to be a leader now all they do is take a great idea and wreck it. |

Sony really likes proprietary formats. Memory Stick, for example. There were several perfectly good flash memory standards out, but they had to make their own incompatible one. |

I like my DS Until sony starts releasing entertaining (i.e. not mind numbing) games.. they wont ever get my money.

I got the PSP, and I'm really impressed with it. It doesn't feel like hand held gaming in the traditional sense anymore. It's got several really good games already available for it. It's worth checking out, at least for gaming. -J

I got mine as a x-mas gift. I've always been somewhat opposed to gaming not because I find un-entertaining but because It's a really good way to waste alot of time I could be recording and making music. I must say though I'm pretty impressed with this thing. The lcd is very detailed and the games they have out for it are pretty cool at this point. For the time being I've resigned myself to gaming for short periods to clear my thoughts or pass some time. I'm still more passsionate about recording and making music and definitely more addicted to buying gear than video games. It's gonna be great the next time I have a trans continental flight!

A DVD disc is too big for the small PSP format. I think the idea of a small format DVD is great and the cart protects the discs while travelling. If they release a burner and disc, i'll buy that too.....FYI GTA hasnt left my PSP for 3 weeks. |

I love my PSP. I use it just for gaming so I could care less about all that other stuff. I use it on the train so it's not time that I could be doing anything else. Great screen for movies too. It's a keeper. |

... and It could have been Made as a housing for removable sticks, for lots of storage or easy customer upgrade.
