Industry terms you use in real life?

I'm sure most (if not all of us) use or have used industry terms in every day life that we (and only we) find hilarious.

So I'll start it off...

A few months back, my girlfriend was FURIOUS because of an interest charge on her credit card for paying a couple days late. I sat there for a second and then told her that her credit card should have ADC to make up for late payments... When she asked what that meant, I spent a few minutes explaining it.

The end result was her being even more upset and now completely confused.

I thought it was funny...

Hopefully you guys will share some so I don't feel like an idiot with a one-post thread =)

Fat and round... with a big bottom...

The other day it was made evident how dysfunctional I have become due to my audio obsession. I was walking in the street, and I saw a magazine on the ground advertising a "Summer Clearance". My first though was "Wow, a summing amplifier clearance!", then I realized they probably meant like, just Summer the season, and felt like a huge dork.

.

my grandpa, who was a fig farmer, always used to say:

"careful with that axe, eugene".

so, i often use that quote with my gimp assistant, eugene (who lives in my studio basement)

i often use that "term" after bad takes...it seems to make the artists i work with nervous.

...i'm not sure if that was the question?

but i figured i'd mention this, since this thread is listed under "fun".

i'm not sure if this is "official industry lingo", or anything...

.

You know that 'Careful with the axe, Eugene' is a Pink Floyd track? Or am I missing the point?
