Difficult to find around here but ill agree with it. Seems a nice profile to work with. Should we put that on the front door of the studio? No entrance & no kick ass if you don't have these qualities: 1. Passion and energy for the work 2. Talent 3. Willingness to explore and take risks 4. Emotional honesty 5. Sense of humour 6. Bright mind 7. Aware Never say I quit again!!!

1. found at young ages but unfortunately often lost with age ... too bad ... that's when experience and passion can become a great combination. 2. well ... with protools around ... who needs talent ... (just kidding of course)3. also often found at a young beginning age ... unfortunately often kicked the head in by the likes of record companies etc ... 4. what ? 5. without it life is not worth living 6. with or without a joint ? 7. very important at all times

I'd prefer to work with someone who's useless. Here's what I look for: 1. Inability to not pay in advance 2. Unable to sing badly and stay out of time 3. Useless at staying in bed and being late 4. Terrible at reminding their girlfriend/boyfriend to come the studio 5. Tone deaf when it comes to fizz, pop and splutter coming from equipment 6. Inefficient at bringing acoustic guitars, kazoos , percussion and banjos into the control room and then playing them with mates 7. Dreadful at losing pitch and having an off day 8. Completely ignorant to the ways of beer and drugs 9. Unable to remember what any A&R man said, ever, especially unable to recall this in a session 10. Tired after working for more than 8 hours in a single day

1) Someone that is "in with a chance" in the music biz, with looks Age Songs Personality I am not in this to make a recording someone can play their Mom or friends, I feel I am prospecting for gold, so I reject no hopers. Very judgmental that may be, and I 'get it wrong' at times. I can connect with anyone in a non work environment and that is fine & dandy but in the studio? I am AT WORK, and that work is to attract record co A&R to new talent with the goal - being recording contracts, airplay, 'joining the game'. 2) Someone that genuinely WANTS a producer! 3) Sessions I run veer between 'boot camp' vibe & a open mic comedy club vibe. So hard working folks with a good sense of humor are best for me. 4) Kids in their late teens / early twenties. I like their unjaded vibe, goofing around and optimistic view of the music biz road ahead of them. I am an alt rock 'young band' specialist.

Clients that have a modicum of talent, an excellent sense of humor... and a big ****ing check book.

Someone who is creatively energetic. I work on my own a lot and I yearn for someone to come along and throw some ideas at some of the things I get stuck on. I don't mind creative arguments, even heated ones, just so long as we don't argue about other stuff. |

Oh, o.k....I connect with people who understand that it takes more than a bootleg copy of ACID to make a good record.
