Studio Projects T3

Anyone had a chance to incorporate one of these guys into a session. I'm curious to get some feedback from someone who's put it to use. I'm thinking of picking one up. I think it's priced well for a tube condenser Any advice is good. Thanks slutz!

Consider a Rode K2, a little cleaner and IMO better for vocals. Found T3 to be bassy sounding, but have had success using it as a blend mic on guitar cabs -- for hint of analog vibe. Cord that comes with the T3 is cheap, as is the shock mount. K2 seems to have a sturdier cord and shock mount.

Yeah, I have the T-3 and it's good on some vocals. As suicide shift said, it can be bassy sounding on some vocals, and the supply cable that comes with it is cheap. Actually, SP suppose to be making a "upgrade cable" for the T-3 just for this purpose! Suppose to be shipping by now.

By the way... unlike another post on this thread, I found the T3 better than the K2 for most applications...
In fact, I think the best from RODE at the moment are the NKT and the NT-2000.
The NT-2000 might be almost as versatile as the T3...
But that's just my opinion.

The T3 through a Chandler TG2 pre with gain up sounds great on vocals if you like colour (and I do)
