All you need to know is that Chris Pennie (drums) and Ben Weinman (guitar) have been there since their inception, and do most of the songwriting/composing. In fact, I'd have to say if Pennie and Weinman went solo I'd still buy whatever cacophonic sh*t they produced.

And don't overlook "Miss Machine". I really like "Irony is a Dead Scene", and like Patton's contributions a lot, but there was a certain "Pattonizing" that went on with "Irony...", whereas "Miss Machine" is a little more it's own horse. But, sh*t, get both and if you haven't yet got The Icarus Line's "Penance Soiree" then I suggest you get that at the same time.

Cheers again,

bdp

And THEN, get Isis "Panopticon" or "Oceanic". Followed by any Meshuggah album you care to mention.

Love and hugs,

And with all the money left in your back pocket, a copy of Battles "EP B".

Aloha,
