| Gear nut | gettin' it on without a sub So i recently bought some KRK RP-5's. and i really dig them. I think they sound really nice for the price point. A long time ago, some other folks on here said they dug them too for their price point up until the Dynaudios. Anyway, the only problem im having with them is that I really cant judge the low end. I'd be mixing and having it sounding great, then switch over to my home stereo and have it be way too bassy. Is there any way I can get around this without having to get a sub or spend additional cash? Thanks slutZ -b |

| Even if your room is good, you have to move air to get base. A pair of 5" drivers going back and forth about 7 or 8mm aren't going to put out much bass. If you lower your monitoring level, it may help. You don't have to move as much air to get bass at lower levels. -tINY |
