i need to buy a desk, not analog or mixing desk

i just need a desk where i can put my computer, external hard drives, my interface, my speakers and other miscellaneous stuff. all this time i've had a really low table and i work on my stuff sitting on the floor and i think its bad for my back. i think its time i buy an actual desk. i just need suggestions on what places i should look into

i was lookin at best buy. it says office desks and im getting a feeling i'm not lookin at the right place

thank you

DIY one man.

check out this thread....
Show me your homemade or custom made console or studio furniture-NO premade or bought

I built a simple one that is in there somewhere toward the end. I built it at my condo with just a few hand power tools. Lowes or Home Depot will cut Plywood for you, then assemble, trim, and finish. You'll have a much sturdier and higher quality desk for the money than a particle board one from Office Max.

Good luck

The Middle Atlantic stuff is good for the price. I have ther CNR-1 desk, which has served me well and is pretty compact for a small room and whatnot. It's the kind actually intended for a corner, but I have it in the middle of the room, which leaves a lot more room on the sides since it's not square. And of course it's designed to work with their various other modules that you can add onto it. And it has two 4U racks integrated under the second tier as well.
