What are the specs on the Digital I/O? I was quite disappointed to learn (after the fact) that my MOTIF rack supported only 44.1/16 bit. I happily track, mix, and master at 44.1, but want 24 bits. The non-rack units at least provide different bit depths.

Would also be nice if the optical out gave access to the individual outs, but I'm not expecting that.

What all does USB do, software interface? Digital out to DAW maybe ??

I actually picked one up for 945.00 but by the time they added in the tax it came to 1000 flat.
by the by I'm having trouble assigning my midi channels, if anybody can help it would be cool.

You can still record at 24-bit when the Motif is outputting 16. The samples are all 16-bit samples anyhow, so if you're recording at 24-bit resolution they're just tacking on extra zeroes.

Actually, that may not be true if you track with effects...
