Deadsy Production Techniques?

Any idears???

Primarily i like the punch of the drums

and the weird sustained synth-like buzziness of the guitars

here's a link for some of their samples b'cause they are a little obscure

I love the 'Commencement' CD - great songs and an amazing sound. Anything you want to share about that one?

Wow,

Yes…I haven’t asked Carlton all the specifics, I will do that…. However I have some tips…

Vocals..
Usually doubled (think Eventide H-3000)
Sometimes mixed with Vocoder vocals..
Chorus on vocals or mix of all three

Guitars:
Big muff or fuzz pedal
(got the sound from big muff, 7-string and drop the low b>a

Synth:
Jp-8000
Juno-106
Use the mod wheel !!!!

Drums???

Combo between
Live and programmed

I actually did a “Undercore” album, but it sounds so much like deadsy…I can’t use it…
