| Making your own MRL tapes hey, is this possible? seems like it would be pretty basic, but maybe im missing something running a jh 16

| MRLs are single track tapes. They're made with one full width track on the reel, which can be used to calibrate any size track count on a machine. You can make a reference tape for yourself, but this is in no way to be considered a tape made by MRL.
