Seriously, I dig the space and the place. Perhaps a bit too refined for some, It's for writing, not recording a band and personally right up my ally, I guess living in Berlin must somehow change people.

Keep in mind, this city is dominated by electronic music, especially minimal, and I really don't think a lot of colour belongs in a studio that focuses on minimal/tech............ok, yes, mine is purely black and white though admittedly I don't sit on the floor!

First off, I kind of like the space, although it is not something I would personally veer towards in my own recording studio. I think one has to consider that the European aesthetic in clothing, room decor, etc. will be different from the typical American studio, just as it would be different from a studio located in Turkey, Japan or Egypt.

I've gotta say though...don't you think there could have been a little tongue-in-cheek posing for this photo. I mean, it is a cover shot, and these types of photos are almost always posed in some dramatic and borderline contrived fashion that does not really represent any sort of "reality". Here we have a guy donning a scarf, sipping tea on a foam mattress in a hyper-modernist all-white studio. I say he could be hamming it up a bit and maybe even be poking a little fun at himself and the whole European electronica image's scene. At the very least, it is certainly a HIGHLY stylized version of his reality and I expect you'll find a little different vibe going on in an average day.

Just a thought...

This guy reminds me of the Nihilists in "The Big Lebowski"

I'm sure he's talented and all but...all white? yuk. I wouldn't want to work in that space.

"kind of sleazy/dirty kind of vibe"

Thats the kind of vibe I like (in music as in life) because 'Nice & Sleazy does it… does it every time.'

The white room reminds me of my own (not a studio, just my room) when I was in my late teens in Berlin in the mid-eighties. He'll grow out of it (hopefully) or may be that is what living in Berlin does to you because my mothers boyfriend is still on that white trip.

Hahahaha, man some of you guys are harsh...

...but y'all crack me up. I'd be lying if I said I didn't have a few chuckles along the way.

Even though it's not really funny, fair or nice.

Shame on y'all

Poor guy. He's probably just cold.
