Question What Reverb Units have "Classic" status?

I am writing an essay on Production Techniques, more importantly on reverb.

What Reverbs have that classic status? Analog, digital hardware to plug-ins?

Just thought I would get some opinions, & if anyone says "DVerb" **Shakes Head**

Thanks

Certainly the Lexicon PCM70 and 480L. To a lesser (arguably) degree the Lex 224.

Upcoming Classics - The Bricasti and the new Lexicon 96!!!

Reverb chambers like the ones under Capitol, Les Paul, MoTown. Anybody know if Motown had a chamber?

Real reverb Chambers are the begining.

If I remember correctly, they used the attic space.

Eventide ORVILLE

Hardware reverb units

See thethrillfactor's comments.

That gives you a pretty good starting list.

Two classics that I didn't see on here yet.

Its funny looking at that list now all i still use from it these days is the R-880 and the Pro-R3. I haven't had the desire or the need to turn on anything else from that list in a while.

Funny...........those are the only two I now own.
The others have all had their day in the sun, though.

I have 6 from your other list:
Eventide ORVILLE

1) EMT 250
2) Eventide SP2016
3) AMS RMX16
4) Quantec
5) DSP 7000
6) Roland R880.

These are still unique classic reverb sounds.
