What's the deal with Bombshelter. It appears that they have no acoustic treatments or isolation. Are they in a really, really quiet area of downtown L.A.?

Thumbs up wow the old soundcastle!!!!

Wow the old sondcastle would have been perfect.

In the end we found a home for the session at Henson Studio B ( I know, no where near Silverlake...but we were getting shut down by schedules) , but the wealth of knowledge I've gained from all the good folks on here is WAY worth the post. Next time I'm in this situation I have my list and I can just contact here on Gearslutz.

Thank you everyone

Tell me about it.

I live 1/2 block away....they've left L. Ron Hitler pamphlets in my mailbox in the past.

Not that there's anything wrong with that....other than it's a federal crime

They did put a million $$+ into it after they bought it from Chick. Of course when you have unlimited funds....

Lotta good stuff has been done at Sonora (Elliot Smith, etc.)....and that white API console

we must live close to one another.
i live right over the hill, up angus.
about 2 blocks.
always hated the vibe at madhatter.
wanted to work there because it was so close to home.
i checked it out and tried to get over it but
just couldnt do it.
independence day(XO) and happiness(figure eight) were recorded at sonora.

Madhatter looks like a Church inside (not in a good way...cheesy ministry style, not vintage classical style!)....not good at all for Rock'n.
It does seem that you get your car washed for free at least.

I'm by the Boat.

I walk up Angus when I get a hair up my arse to walk to spaceland instead of drive...
