Jenny Craig Commercial

Did I just see that? An SSL Duality beside Queen Latifah in an ad for Jenny Craig? I like how the engineer looks like he's mixing an album while they film it. classic.

Yeah... I didn't know what it was but I knew it wasn't a Duality. Still, a very nice looking desk.

Neve 88R. Not a bad board for $900,000.

I didnt see it myself, but my friend mentioned that the Australian swim teams ad during the Olympics involved them all standing around singing into an Audio Technica AT2020.

Y'all ain't just slutz. Y'all are geeks!

I did a sound for picture mix a few years back for a Public Television documentary on the history of railroads in the Northeast US. There was an old railroad geek who sat with me as I cut SFX for old silent films to make sure FX were the right ones to go with the picture. Obviously I wouldn't put the sound of a diesel engine over a shot of a steam locomotive, but this guy made sure the clacks were different for narrow guage trains than large scale, that various ages of steam trains had age appropriate whistles and steam blasts, etc.

He was as bad as you guys are.

Sheesh. It's a commercial. Often times in television a director may employ an actor to portray an entirely different person. Sometimes the actors are called by names other than their given name in order to dupe the television-watching public. In some instances, directors have gone so far as to assemble a completely unrelated cast and have portrayed them as a family! Sometimes they even use makeup to change an actor's appearance. TV is magic.

It's always fun to notice something amiss, a little laugh amongst the like minded.
