Good Pop Tune

Gabriella Cilmi's "Sweet About Me" is a pretty catchy number with a nice groovy swing to it.

yup.

But a very bad vocal - still catchy though. I am getting a bit bored of post-winehouse. Reminds of the post-Oasis days in the 90's....

Hey, if there's a generation of singers that don't want to sound like Beyonce or Spears or Simpson, that's OK by me.

A Winehouse-via-Springfield-via-Holiday voice has got to be an improvement, doesn't it?

I'm a Winehouse fan and glad to see the old diva model go away but, damn, that's just a pathetically slavish cop of Winehouse's style.

Winehouse is (we don't have to say was, yet, do we?) cool because she didn't sound like the rest.

This is just so pathetically blatant... it might as well be a sound-alike commercial.

I wonder if the guy who sued Frito Lay for Tom Waits is still in practice?
