more noise please

in the analog domain i was muting tracks when nothing was going on on the particualr track .
if i do mutes f.ex on a guitar track on a daw it starts giving the overall impression of the mixdown a " unreal feel " .
now i save my time and leave the tracks open ... there might be just some guitar speaker noise on a non-playing part , but it sounds to me way more realistic on a daw .

IS NOISE THE SOULUTION ON THE DIGITAL DOMAIN ???

Just have a library of tape noises of 8, 16 & 24 track 2" of all manufacturers! Same with Amps...

Burn them on CD and sell them as dither noise!

Could be the phenomenon of the dead room, if you are in on your brain couldn't tell the size of the room by hearing it and that will make you feel sick.

DUY's DaD Tape will actually recreate tape hiss for you as well. With it on, when you change the parameters of the tape type, speed, and noise reduction it also changes the characteristics of the noise to match.

Cool tip Charles..

As a side note, anyone hear the new Bonnie Raitt? The lack of noise is super unnerving...
