I have the same setup and have had no crashes in a year. Are you considering upgrading to Logic 7?

I will go to L7 when they offer full ADC...including with UAD cards. At present, like you I'm stable....you get so much more done when its like this...I'll worry when OSX gets to tiger, they might not let 6.4.2 work with it....wouldn't put it past them....I've been quite religeous in my OSX updates, I think its what has made my system so stable...

Nxt upgrade for me is another UAD card....try their mastering stuff.... its fukking great.
I had 4 album mastering jobs to do...I downloaded all the fully working demos from UA and used them for the job....with the money I made a bought another card with all the fully authourised versions...Got another 2 mastering jobs waiting to get done.......

There probably will not be a significant upgrade made to the next G5's, mostly due the fact that they have not hyped anything and if they release a 3.0 at the same price, everyone with recently bought 2.5's will complain they weren't informed. The quad processor will not be out for a while either. If the update is in the next month, I'd expect a 2.7 ghz processor , but nothing more or they'd have to raise the current prices. I am holding off a little buy myself for another G5, but I also want to learn a bit more about the Blu-Ray addition.

do they normally hype stuff beforehand? i hadn't noticed this. i thought they just kinda spring it on you. one morning you wake up and the announcement's on apple.com. or at least that's how i've generally found out.

yeah i almost get the feeling that they LOVE to piss off people who just plunked down mucho money for their products only to release a newer better product for 100 less 1 day outside the return window. i get the feeling they put you on speaker phone when you call in to complain and all take their coffee break to listen to u try to fruitlessly argue with whatever manager you happened to have gotten hold of.

its happened to me a few times so far
