Simple mono checking plugin?

I've been looking for a plugin that lets me check mono (sum, L and R), invert the phase of each L/R channel etc.

Does anyone know a simple plugin that can do this?

Anyway, a google search for "stereo tools" did bring up this.

...I just didn't know how you'd call this sort of plugin, therefore didn't know what to search for in Google. Wasn't that difficult. Thanks!

Logic's own Gain plugin (under Utilities) will do this

Why not just switch the monitor to mono? I know tha may not allow phase reversal, but it is the truest test of compatibility.

plugin vs. mono speaker

Is there any reason why checking mono-compatability by using a plugin on the master change (to switch to mono sum of the mix) would've give an accurate idea of the mix would translate?

I think you're missing some words in your sentence, but most of the time we hear things in mono, it's actually pretty rare that we hear music in true stereo
