Producer, Engineer/Mixing Forum?

Hey Jules and all the Gear Slutz,
Is there any interest in starting a section for us to share techniques and tips dealing with Production, Engineering and Mixing? We get this while we have a guest moderator but when the month is up that goes away. I personally love sharing what I know and hearing about how other people approach their craft of making records. If there is already a section like that please let me know.

Thanks,
-Wags

Great idea in theory... a lot of that kind of stuff finds its way into various sections of this forum already. The reason why I say great idea in theory:
Most guys like to have their own secret tricks. Everyone has their own thing they call their own. Usually the cool things you hear about are from people who worked with other people and saw something. It is rarely ever the guy who does it sharing his wealth.

Actually I have found that quite a few people (myself included) are very happy to share their ideas and tricks. I was lucky enough to work at a studio where we all shared our ideas freely and I know that everyone benefited from doing that.

We have had some industry legends posting here willing to pass on their knowledge to us and I would like to have a space to do that on a continuing basis as well as having the guest mod forum.

For anyone that does not want to share their methods of working, that is fine as well.
