Drawmer 1960 service manual?

I have an old Drawmer 1960 (dare I mention on this forum?)
I love the pump/attack I get from it, squeezing the hell out of a drumkit!

There seem to be 7 different versions of it, and my service tech doesn't find the service manual for this particular version.
Anybody know where to look?
Ser no 1913 or 1319 I think.
Don't have it here at the moment.
Probably 3:rd version...

I would suggest e-mailing Transaudio in the USA or Soundfield who distributes Drawmer out of the UK. I am sure if you give a serial number they could figure something out. I can't really see any major changes function wise with the unit over time, maybe just minor electronics changes. I had one from a few years back that was identical to one from one made over 10 years ago.

Thanks!
My tech got hold of a service manual for another version, and he said it looked a lot different.
Maybe that partly explains all different opinions on the unit?

i put NOS telefunken tubes in my 1960 and analog devices IC chips- to replace the 5532s and it made a huge difference in the sound. still doesn't get used so much anymore, but much better than it was originally. did the same for my 1961- brought the sound more forward with more detail in the upper mids. i don't have a manual either- can you post a .pdf? thanks,
david lawrence

If you do manage to get a pdf for this unit, please also send it to us so we can include it in our Resource site...

I had a friend pull out everything but the meters, the power transformer and the direct box and put in all new stuff. We called it the 1969 and I think it sounds much much better... huge difference to say the very least.

I knew you'd chime in on this.

Guess I have to try the 1969 Merc ed...
However, I really like my 1960 on certain stuff!

Is this something that can be done to my 1960? Well, obviously it can... is it worth doing? i.e. Would it be cost effective?

I've got a 1960 made in 1995 that I don't like the sound of... could the tubes be bad? What's the best way to get the thing fixed up (there's something up with the 48V too), or better yet, souped up?

Thanks.
