question about roland td-10 drum module

hi everyone, i bought a td-10 roland drum kit and i've been trying to buy the tdw-1 expansion card for it. i offered to buy someone's card that he had in his td-10 module and he told me that if he takes the expansion card out, it would render his module useless...can you not use any tdw-1 card with any td-10 module...since roland no longer make the card, does that mean that it's impossible to get a card that would work in mine. would appreciate it if someone knew the answer to this one..im a little confused...anyone?..thanks for reading...

Your best bet is to call Roland tech support if you can't find the answer. Also, there might be an after market company that makes a card. Usually someone fills the niche when a company no longer makes a product.

thanks for reminding me..i called roland to see if they still sold the card but didn't think to speak with a tech there..the sales guy i talked to though, told me to buy a td-12 or 20 if i want triple triggers.lol

well if someone else was wondering the same thing, i did find out..once you install a tdw-1 card in a td-10 unit, if you take the card out, it will no longer work, however you can install a used tdw-1 card from another unit in another td-10 but , same thing, if you remove it , it renders your unit useless...so you can go there but you can't go back.....
