| I'm trying to find a good mic or stereo pair to get the best recorded sound from my Maton Messiah acoustic dreadnought, in my home studio. $600 AU is about the most I want to pay. I've been told that the Studio Projects C4 are good, the Rode NT5, the Se electronics mics etc. Have tried the NT3 but it sounds too boxy. I was also wondering how good the AKG C1000 pair are, and the Shure KSM137 pair. Any ideas about which way to go to get a good natural acoustic sound (rich tone) down on a budget? How do the above compare? I already have a NTK which is good for Vox, but is too loose and loses the bottom end on recording acoustic guitar. Any positive comments appreciated, thanks, Oldmate. |
