I have a Teese Wizard that's very nice. He has several models to fit the gtr/pickup setup.

I have A Bud-Wah by Budda that I like a lot. Also, the Dunlop Jimi Hendrix is nice because it's not as wide of a tone sweep, more like the middle chunk of a standard Cry-Baby.

My current favorite is the Morley Bad Horsie- this one is sounds very sexy. I understand that a new one with variable Q was released. I used to love Crybaby's but over time they became very predictable to me. As a self-proclaimed Gearslut I am very embarassed to admit that I sold an original Thomas Organ Crybaby to Bruce Kulick form Kiss about ten years ago for $50. This was the original Crybaby before Dunlop bought the rights to it. |

when you re in the hendrix or general classic guitar tone - stuff, go where the onley master is: roger mayer - i own several products from this guy, and he does amazing stuff, that is (ok next to fulltone) the best you can get for your money. incredible service, very nice guy, knows how to do the stuff. i assume he is to guitar fx what neve is to micpreamps. http://www.roger-mayer.co.uk/

for new stuff - I'd say Teese... Geoff's stuff is awesome for vintage tone.. and he's a nice guy, too. That being said - a nice vintage Vox/McCoy/etc would be great. "-) |
