Any thoughts on Bogner Amps, and are Bogner Clones out there? OK.. I went out and bought my little power house, a custom shop Blues Junior. GREAT little 15w amp. I now need a midsize combo to replace.... (forgive me) the Cyber Twin. I was thinking about the Bogner Shiva. I really am interested in the reverb. Any thoughts on this amp. Pro's con's, and replacements? I heard a rumour that Genz Benz is a take off. Is this true. Any other companies clone them?

The Shiva EL 34 version is great. The reverb is excellent. Among the best I've heard. The amps strong point (to me) is that is gets great clean sounds (with or without reverb) out of EL34s. Great cleans, nice hard (JCM 800 like maybe?) distortion. One stop shopping for folks who love Fendery cleans and Marshally distortions. A near ideal combo, I think. Its master volume is good for bringing down the volume (within limits) without killing the tone. I love this amp!

I own a Shiva with EL34s and I'd go so far to say it is the best combo amp out there in terms of covering the modded/boutique vintage vibe. Clean tones are lush, 3-D...the lead channel is just as good: focused and rich, elastic...The reverb is the best I've ever heard on a guitar amp. Just unreal, really. Oddly enough, I don't care that much for the 6L6 model. Go figure. First time I played one I knew I had to Ebay all my other amps to fund the Shiva. In fact I Ebayed a lot of stuff for the Shiva and I don't miss any of it. In fact I used to be the kind of guy who was always looking for new amps but for the last two years other amps haven't even entered my mind. I've heard some old Naylor amps that come close to this good.
