Thread Starter | How Do U Check A CD Has ISRC codes on it?
Client is coming over with a "mastered" Cd. He dosen't completely trust the studio that is supplying the "mastered" Cd. He wants me to check it has the ISRC codes on it...how do u do this? Go on line...stick CD into itunes...info comes up?? Advise please |

Lots of PeeCee applications will tell you. I don't think there is anything on Mac system X although there used to be a discontinued system 8 CD ripping application from the Toast folks that would read it and CD text.

If your on a Mac I've "heard" that Jam can read ISRC codes. BUT it also seems to depend on which CD Burner you've got as well. This is just internet hearsay but supposedly Jam can 'read' on some CD Burners but not burn, can burn but not read on others and yet can do both on some others. Don't ask me which does which because once I finally got my head around that last sentence I gave up and quit investigating... Let me know what you find out though cuz I've just been given my own labels ISRC Code... R.

hey, what'd'ya know.... Mac dual G5, OSX 10.3.7 Roxio Jam 6.0.1 To check any CD for ISRC codes...simplyput a CD into computer....double click on CD icon on desktop....pick any track....drop it into Jam....get info....hey presto...all the tracks' ISRC codes on the CD come up in a nice wee list.... THANKS GUYS |

BUMP! Hi All, it's even easier to do this if you have a mac, just fire up terminal and type: drutil cdtext, this should show the ISRC codes that are there on the disc. some more here: http://www.discwizards.com/articles/...rcode-Data.htm
