Thread Starter | Topaz High Isolation Transformer??
Hi everyone- I'm setting the power for my project studio, and I would like to get the proper regulation / noise suppresion, etc. I read a great paper called A Clean Audio Installation by Allen H. Burdick at the Benchmark Media site. It recommended a separate line feed, a quality transformer (and they mentioned Topaz), among other things. Here's the link: http://www.benchmarkmedia.com/appnotes-a/default.asp I'm wondering if any of you have tried the Topaz 100 series. I'm looking at the 5000 VA Hardwired model to power all the audio lines in my studio. A local audio engineer advised me to get a ferroresonant model. He said this particular model is not a regulator, but simply a noise suppresor. Which transformer would you recommend me? I have a budget around $500 - $700. If the Topaz 100 is good for me, I'll get it. But I don't think Equitech or more expensive stuff is compatible with my budget / needs. Any help is very appreciated. Best regards, Rodrigo Montfort Mty, Mexico |
