003 converters calibrated at what level?

I'm aware that you can't change the calibration in PTLE, but I'm wondering at what level the converters in a 003 operate, i.e., when they are fed a 1 kHz tone at 0 VU, will they output a -20, -18,-16, etc, signal? Oh how I wish I had a multimeter!
