compressors for drums?

hello all

I have been on the search for a good stereo compressor and have been climbing the ranks of the more entry and moderately priced comps......to name a few I have been using a Joe Meek Sc 2.2(to much noise and not transparent enough...very pumping though) TL Audio C-2021 Vavle comp (decent sounding.....but not enough controls)
Alesis 3630 (okay but not pumping enough)

most of the music I make is electronic influenced with a nod to more organic sounds(guitars,rhodes,percussion)... beats are pretty key and I like them to be tight and punchy with snap.....most of the kits I use are based off the Roland 909...

I have been looking forever for a used TL Audio 5052 stereo valve comp but can never seem to find one.....there's a guy who is selling a TL Audio C-1 comp for around $700-$800 but it looks pretty abused......can anyone recommend a good comp for under $1000 I am mainly going to be using it for drums.....I have a Joe Meek Vc1 that I use for guitar/bass......also any advice for more punchier/snappier drums is welcome

thanks

i have a tl audio C-1 that i don't use much anymore. it's in mint condition, without a scratch- i'd sell it to you for that price. if you're interested or have questions, email me privately

FMR audio Really Nice Compressor.

Put it in regular mode (not super nice) with fast attack and release and mix it in with the un-compressed drums.
