What's the ideal analog front-end for a complex digital multitrack computer mix ?

I mean that processor that can be considered a full analog-mastering processor for final track. Is UA 2-1176 an "electrotech-warped" solution ?

thx

What you are asking is what's the ideal analogue mastering chain?

There is no definitive best setup. Mastering engineers have their preferred tools. There are lots of pieces of top shelf gear that will produce equally good results. I guess it's how you use it.

I also suspect that few if any real mastering engineers have only one piece of gear in their chain.

I'd ask over in the mastering forum.

It's not about the gear, but the person using it and his/ her preferences.

I may on occasion talk about some of the products I am a dealer for in my posts.. and that's OK! I sell them because I like them. Not vice versa. It's more fun to talk about things you know and love, then things you don't.

Yes u right , mastering is a complex manner or ok..method of mixing , but for example digital stereo-pan used from a good vst is more sophisticated than a pan from a classic mixer or 3D surround in a digital stereo channel(vsts) or sub-bass frequencies is that what a mixer can't...etc etc . Simply put , a simple 3d-pan used corectly can make sonic miracles in this form of digital mutitrack computer mix (used of course , in separated tracks to analog mixer and a final analog mastering processor , ehe) .
